The mission of the St. Francois County Agricultural and Mechanical Society doing business as St. Francois County Fair shall be the promotion and education of the agriculture, horticulture, mechanical arts, as well as the rural and domestic economy of St. Francois County

The Fair Board shall sponsor the St. Francois County Fair each year as their primary means to achieve this mission. The fair allows local 4-H/FFA groups along with the public the opportunity to showcase their projects and help to educate the community on the importance of agriculture in their daily lives.

The St. Francois County Agricultural and Mechanical Society is a non profit private organization that receives no State or Local government funding. The Society is supported by sponsors and attendance revenue. In order for the Fair Board to sustain their mission, they shall also host and promote non-fair events that will aid in the operations of the Society
